While Amazon’s deployed these sort of “special offers” on its Fire tablets before, it’s a different prospect when they’re on your phone. ![]() You entice people with the promise of a good, affordable device, then use it to constantly nudge those people toward the Amazon things they’re more likely to use.įrom a consumer standpoint, though, it’s exhausting. ![]() Cheap unlocked phones are a growing part of Amazon’s storefront, and Prime members spend way more on Amazon things than non-Prime shoppers. From a business standpoint, this is smart.
